AppSmart has acquired Converged Network Services Group (CNSG), a technology consultancy from Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in 2006, CNSG provides expertise in cloud, voice, connectivity, IoT, services, and support. At AppSmart they join two previously purchased master agent companies, Telegration and World Telecom Group (WTG).
AppSmart, the channel-led, one-stop shop for all B2B technology services, has acquired Telegration, Inc., a premier distributor of connectivity, cloud and cloud enablement, as it continues its strategic expansion. AppSmart previously acquired Master Agent WTG.
Colotraq, the sourcing advisory firm and data-center infrastructure master agency, is being acquired by Aluf Holdings, a firm focused on the identification, acquisition, management and growth of companies in the biometrics and blockchain technologies. DCITraq, Colotraq’s cloud-based software, allows clients, or their representatives, to source cloud, colocation and connectivity, and cybersecurity services through Colotraq’s direct agreements with more than 400 vendors globally.
St. Louis private equity firm Thompson Street Capital Partners joined with management to recapitalize New York City-based IT managed services firm BCM One. Thompson Street also concurrently acquired SIPTRUNK/SIP.US, an Alpharetta, Georgia-based company that provides Session Initiation Protocol, or SIP, technology enabling internet-based communications. SIP.US was founded by Michael Rand and Marc Fribush.
In a transaction the Malibu, California-based company calls the first of its kind, WTG will merge with NeoCloud, a North Carolina-based cloud service provider. The cloud commerce platform AppDirect is acquiring both WTG and NeoCloud to create a new unit called AppSmart.
Telarus has joined forces with fellow master agent CarrierSales to capture more mindshare with the largest carriers and to boost its cloud and mobility expertise. The all-stock deal will create one of the nation’s largest master agencies, with annual revenue of $85M and monthly new sales generated to our network, cloud, and UCaaS suppliers of over $1.5M.
Master agency Sandler Partners expanded its national footprint by acquiring X4 Solutions, the Midwest-based Agency. The acquisition positions Sandler as the nation’s second-largest telecom and cloud services master agency. Together, the companies serve more than 4,000 sales partners in the West, Northwest, Southwest and Midwest. The combined company will generate about $65 million in revenue this year.. Terms of the transactions were not made public.
ScanSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCSC), a leading global provider of technology products and solutions, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire Intelisys Communications, Inc., the industry-leading technology services distributor of business telecommunications and cloud services. With 2015 gross commissions of $120 million, Intelisys distributes services for the world’s leading telecom carriers, cable companies, cloud services providers and technology partners through the channel’s top producing sales partners.
The MicroCorp purchase of New Smyrna Beach-based agency Five Star allows MicroCorp to expand its distribution primarily in the State of Florida while at the same time enhancing its strategic relationship with carriers and sub agents. As part of the transaction, MicroCorp will be hiring the existing Five Star support staff to continue its efforts in growing the carrier services business in the Florida market, as well as in other states in the Southeast.
